Alpiron Suite - Workstations/Desktop Edition
Workstations
Alpiron Suite provides for full support for all workstations including those which rely on Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol.
Alpiron Suite and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
In the past several years, many large organizations have turned to Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). VDI is the practice of hosting a desktop operating system within a virtual machine (VM) running on a centralized server. VDI is a variation on the client/server-computing model, sometimes referred to as server-based computing (SBC).
Alpiron Suite can assure that Virtual Desktops will be shutdown if users have left them running idle for a predetermined period of time; it can also inform the infrastructure to stop sending new VD to specific physical host then shutdown the physical host once there are no more virtual desktops running on it, as an energy-saving/cost saving measure.
